Local-first or it doesn't ship

A lot of what I capture day-to-day is sensitive NHS work. That single fact ruled out every off-the-shelf tool I could find. None of them let me run the intelligence locally without compromise.

So I built WorkOS for the constraint. Local model, local store, nothing leaves the laptop. Once I'd done that, I noticed I was capturing more freely. The compliance friction I hadn't realised I was self-censoring around just disappeared. That's the part I didn't predict.
